Cobalt Acetate

Cobalt acetate (Co(CH₃COO)₂.4H₂O) is a product that is widely used in the resin, catalyst surface treatment and animal feed industries. This range of products has a cobalt content of 23–24%.

Available Grades

PET Grade (PET)
This grade has low impurities that allows for optimum performance when used in the manufacture of polyethylene terpthalate resin.

PTA Grade (PTA)
This grade has low impurities that allows for optimum performance when used in the manufacture of purified terpthalic acid.

Feed Grade (FG)
This grade has been specially formulated with low levels of Cd, Pb, As and Hg for Animal Feed Applications. Shepherd is a FEMAS approved manufacturer and has approval for corresponding certifications in various EU countries for the manufacture and supply of Animal Feed products.

Technical Grade (TG)
This grade has been designed to be a very pure product. This makes it suitable for applications that have requirements for very low impurities, such as the manufacture of catalysts.

Solution Grade (Soln TG)
A technical grade cobalt acetate solution, which has been formulated with low impurities to be used for specialty applications. This grade has a cobalt content of 6.0–6.6%.
